This is my Aussie named Macie. She is my adventure buddy!

My name is Andie Perez, and this is my first year teaching. Teaching is something I’ve wanted to do since I was in 1st grade, and now I’m lucky enough to be a 1st grade teacher! It’s an absolute passion of mine, and I am so excited to see what this year has in store for me. I know it’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures! I thought you might want to know a little about me.

I was born in San Diego, California and moved to Colorado Springs when I was two years old. I went to school in Monument because my mother was a teacher in the district. I graduated from Lewis Palmer High School in 2012, then began a new adventure at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. I graduated from there this past April with a BA in Elementary Education. I am so excited to be back in my hometown of Colorado Springs!

In my free time, I enjoy doing anything outside with my friends and family. In the summer, you will find me hiking, camping and backing. In the winter, I love to build snowmen, snowshoe, and snowboard!

The Midland community has been so welcoming to me, and I’m very thankful for that. It is my mission to install a love for learning in all lessons so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners. I look forward to a great year here in this wonderful school!

A bit about me...
